Goals House UNGA
Goals House landed in New York earlier this week for the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) and New York Climate Week.
For five days, we took over iconic Central Park venue Tavern on the Green. The programming supplemented the UN agenda, focusing on what needs to be done to achieve net-zero, education, the future of fashion and addressing modern slavery, sustainable cities, health in the aftermath of the pandemic and ongoing international crises, and the role of the private sector in achieving the Global Goals.
Leading into UNGA, we launched our first Goals Night Out with our partners at @mastercard x @protocol. This intimate dinner hosted by Michael Froman, Vice Chairman and President, Strategic Growth Mastercard and facilitated by Bennett Richardson at Protocol convened global business leaders, culture shapers, sustainability experts and social innovators in a discussion on how to design an inclusive approach to ESG that works for both people and planet, ultimately putting prosperity within reach for all.
The House hosted 40 events centred on the Sustainable Development Goals, including breakfast, discussions, roundtables, dinners, and nightcaps. The vibrant and diverse viewpoints expressed by all of our guests have been inspiring, and we hope that these actionable conversations continue as we deliver on our commitments to the Global Goals.
