Partner and Stakeholder Lead - Associate Director

Goals House is a diverse community of business and political leaders, activists, NGOs, and entrepreneurs that come together at significant global moments throughout the year, united in the shared mission of driving progress to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

Freuds worked with Project Everyone and the UN to launch the SDGs in 2015. The Goals formed part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all UN Member States, to stimulate global action for peace and prosperity for people and the planet. In 2019, Goals House was founded at the World Economic Forum in Davos to drive collaboration and progress towards the SDGs among global leaders.

An ever-evolving community, Goals House now convenes multiple times a year to ignite conversations and connections in unique spaces across the world. Goals House continues to show up annually at the World Economic Forum in Davos and is established at other global moments including UNGA and New York Climate Week, Cannes Lions, and COP.

During dinners, panels, talks, and nightcaps, we enable an environment for people to think differently to create new ideas, facilitate collaboration, and drive impact. Together, Goals House works to embody and drive Goal 17 – Partnerships for the Goals.

The Team

We are a team of around 20, based in London, made up of policy, communications and events specialists who are united in the aim of achieving the SDGs by 2030.

We work with our partners throughout the year to ignite conversations and connections that drive progress to achieve the SDGs in unique spaces across the world. During dinners, panels, talks, nightcaps, roundtables and more, we bring together a uniquely diverse cross-sector of global partners, speakers, and guests to think differently and find innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing issues – from climate change, financial inclusion, to health emergencies and gender equality.

Our success comes from creating impact and driving change to achieve the SDGs. The organisations welcomed to Goals House understand that they have a role to play in changing the world.

The Role

We are seeking a senior professional with extensive experience in event programming and strategy for large-scale events. The ideal candidate will either have relevant experience working in an organisation that requires a broad understanding of the political landscape and the SDGs and / or have experience in client relations and key stakeholder engagement.

This would include creating, managing, and reporting on financials—while overseeing every aspect of delivery, from strategic planning to execution and evaluation. Working with the team to co-ordinate resourcing, helping to construct and curate our programme.
  • Your role would require you to work closely with our partners, managing and strengthening key relationships. You'll provide high-level strategic counsel, drawing upon your knowledge and experience.
  • Identifying areas for the evolution of Goals House, putting forward ideas to make them happen, and building strong relationships with our partners and community, as well as identifying and nurturing a pipeline of prospective partners.
  • Line managing 1-2 junior team members, helping them to develop their skills and confidence while ensuring high-quality, timely output.
  • Working with other senior managers on impact, content, social media and community engagement.
  • Working with the team to generate new ideas to ensure that our events continue to represent a broad range of opinions. Leading by example, you'll inspire those around you while ensuring Goals House continues to think differently and stays relevant.
  • In addition, we trust that all of our employees will embrace our cornerstones of Love & Work, which require a passion for what we do and an ability to persevere. In addition, you will take an active role in our belonging values – collaborating to achieve common goals, connecting with one another in an authentic way, sharing our perspectives and embracing others, and actively supporting each other and our experiences.
